Beginning in March, the American Sci-Fi Channel will air
the first season of the new Dr Who.
10 years ago I watched some very old Dr Who episodes and
was severely unimpressed, but the new facelifted version
is getting some very good buzz.

Meanwhile, there's a new SF parody on BBC2 named Hyperdrive.
The show follows the adventures of the crew of starship
HMS Camden Lock, protecting British interests in outer space
in the year 2151. In the first episode, the task of the crew
is to persuade various aliens to relocate business to
Peterborough, England.
Had the opportunity to watch that show. Some jokes work, even
more don't.

Aha....

Saw that when it aired over here in England. Of course as a iddy-biddy girl I'd loved the 'old' Doctor Who, so I /had/ to watch the new one, and I have to say, I was mostly very impressed.

It was all growed up... just like me.

It really is worth watching, just for the nostalgia factor if nothing else. Well that's my two penneth.

Like Star Trek I find Doctor Who as Smart Sci-Fi TV.

I was a fan of the Doctor when I first saw an ep in the late 1970s. when he was played by Tom Baker. then in the 1980s I forgot about the show until 2005 when this New Doctor Premiered.

I find Rose very Pretty but her Mom in the show "Jackie" is Gorgeous IMO. I like older Women sometimes. hehe wink.gif

Good Story's with Meaning IMO.
